Kausani is a dream destination, the vantage point for a breathtaking view of the Nanda Devi mountain range, admist dense pine forests. You can feel the proximity of the snowy Himalayan peaks Trishul, Panchchuli, Nanda Ghunti and Chaukhamba from here and immerse yourself into the scenic grandeur.
Mahatama Gandhi spent sometimes here, while he was writing the book :Anashakti Yoga”, a commentary on Bhagwat Gita. The “Anakshat Ashram” was founded here by his disciple Sarla Ben (Katherine Heilemen).
From an impressive height of 1890 mtrs. The Himalaya can be seen in their towering glory. Look below and you’ll see the Gomti river rushing into the Katyuni valley

| Kasuani is a calm and idyllic resort, far from the madding crowd. Just walk down the hills amidst dense forests. Trek around to9 reach the highest points of the hills, Pinnath (5kms), Burapinnath (5.5kms) and Bhatkot (12kms). Enjoy the relaxing day, get wonderstruck by the starry nights. |
