Shilon Bagh is a picturesque place nestled in Himachal Pradesh, just a few kms away from Shimla. It is a perfect destination to relax away from the humdrum of city life or that of the highly commercialized and over-crowded hill-stations as all that one experiences here is peace. The sights of the mountains and trees and the clouds entering through your window will simply take your breath away. It is one of the quietest places to be at. At times the ears would ache to hear the sound of any vehicle. In fact one would want to talk in whispers as the place is so quite! The only sounds that can be heard are of the winds bristling through the trees and the nearby jungles.
The best thing that one can do in Shilon Bagh is to sit in the balcony of the hotel room and watch the nature at its best. One can observe the mountains acquiring different hues of green moving in tandom with the sunshine. The sky has numerous shades of grey , blue , red and orange, gradually diffusing into each other. One can see the birds soaring below (not high as one is situated at a place higher than the birds) Shilon Bagh also has numerous trekking options available. One can chose from short to long duration treks. Different treks take you to different places- on top of a mountain, a nearby temple, through a local village, etc.
